Here’s a couple of my photos from our little celebration after SUHA screened at the Fantasia Film Festival…

So if you weren’t able to get a ticket to see SUHA at the RVCQ in Montreal last winter…then now is your chance to catch her on the big screen again. I couldn’t be happier to announce that SUHA will be screened at the FANTASIA FILM FESTIVAL this July along side some great Québecois shorts. We just got back from NYC where our film SUHA was screened at the NDNF film festival this past week. We were fortunate enough for SUHA to be screened two nights in a row with the feature film “THE MAN NEXT DOOR” at the MoMA and Lincoln center. It was a major thrill to see SUHA on such a big screen and playing in front of such a diverse crowd…everyone from NDNF  and  the crew at the MoMA & Film Society of Lincoln Center did a fantastic job of putting together an incredible festival featuring a ton of great films (the Bizarre friends of Ricardinho & Last train home & J’ai tué ma mere). For those of you who are in NYC I’d like to invite you to screen SUHA at the NDNF festival! SUHA will be screened before a feature film called “THE MAN NEXT DOOR” on the following nights… Wednesday March 31st - 6PM at the MoMA (The Roy and Niuta Titus Theater 1) 11 West 53rd Street between 5th and 6th Avenues Thursday April 1st - 9PM at the Lincoln Center (Walter Reade Theater) 165 West 65th Street, upper level between Broadway and Amsterdam Ave. You can reserve your tickets for both nights HERE and HERE. The Montreal premiere of SUHA was graciously hosted by the RVCQ last Thursday night in Montreal…and what a night it was! Many attended the sold out short film screening which included 4 other shorts (including my favorite “LA NEIGE CACHE L’OMBRE DES FIGUIERS” by Samer Najari). THE MAN NEXT DOOR (El hombre de al lado) by Mariano Cohn & Gastón Duprat is the feature length film which will be screened just after my short film SUHA at the ND/NF festival in NYC next month. The star of this dry and wicked black comedy is a building: The Curutchet House in La Plata, south of Buenos Aires—the only residence designed by Le Corbusier in the Americas. In this Argentine satire about class, the love of beautiful things, and violent urges, the landmark structure plays the fictional home of world-famous interior designer Leonardo and his wife and daughter .I haven’t seen it yet but I’m quite eager to catch it on the big screen and I’m honored to have my film screen just before it. The NEW YORK TIMES has released the line-up for the NEW DIRECTORS/NEW FILMS festival which will take place next month and I’m thrilled to announce that SUHA will be part of the festival this year! For more info visit the NDNF page.

Looks like we’re getting to speak our minds about SUHA once more on the airways. Jessica, Siraj and I will be interviewed bright and early (7:10AM) on CKUT 90.3FM March 2nd. So if you’re up early…listen in!
