Great music video for the track BLACK AND WHITE TOWN by DOVES. Great aesthetic…I’m hoping to achieve a similar look for the feature length version of SUHA. Enjoy!

DANS LA RUE AUX JOURNÉES DE LA CULTURE!
SUHA recently screened at “Chez Pops, Dans la rue” thanks to the RVCQ who joined forces with “ LES JOURNÉES DE LA CULTURE” here in Montreal. There was a great selection of shorts including Vincent Biron’s film “LES FLEURS DE L’AGE” which recently won the best Canadian short film prize at TIFF. (photo by TANIA)

We just got back from NYC where our film SUHA was screened at the NDNF film festival this past week. SUHA'S MONTREAL PREMIERE
The Montreal premiere of SUHA was graciously hosted by the RVCQ last Thursday night in Montreal…and what a night it was! Many attended the sold out short film screening which included 4 other shorts (including my favorite “LA NEIGE CACHE L’OMBRE DES FIGUIERS” by Samer Najari). If you didn’t get a chance to see SUHA, then be sure to ask me about the $5 dvd’s...

THE MAN NEXT DOOR
THE MAN NEXT DOOR (El hombre de al lado) by Mariano Cohn & Gastón Duprat is the feature length film which will be screened just after my short film SUHA at the ND/NF festival in NYC next month. The star of this dry and wicked black comedy is a building: The Curutchet House in La Plata, south of Buenos Aires—the only residence designed by Le Corbusier in the Americas. In this Argentine satire...

HANDSTYLES
So VANDA DAFTARI and I have been working on a second poster for SUHA over the last few weeks, and we are pleased to say that we required the helping hands of our good friend SIRAJ SANDINO. Siraj lent us his “hand styles” when we told him we were looking for a graffiti influenced hand written font. Catch a preview of his writing below…

WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED?
So a few weeks ago I ventured back to the famous T.A. wall in order to shoot some photos that I required for a montage sequence in my film SUHA. When I arrived I was totally fucking shocked, EVERYTHING was buffed! (click on the images above for a larger view) It seems that the Ville de Montréal thought it would be a great idea to take away a VERY culturally significant sector of ours....
